Roscommon Leisure Centre’s new website is live
We’ve just launched a complete redesign of roscommonleisurecentre.ie, with a bold new homepage, clear pool and gym timetables, and every page rebuilt to be fast, simple and easy to use on any phone.
Roscommon Leisure Centre is home to a 25-metre heated pool, a learner pool, sauna, steam room and a fully equipped gym in the heart of Roscommon town. Its website is where members and visitors go first to check what’s on, so it needs to answer one question quickly: when can I swim or train?
The new design is now live on the homepage and across the whole site. Here’s a look at what’s changed.
A bold, clear first impression
The new homepage leads with a full-width pool photo and a simple message: Swim. Train. Feel better. Two buttons take visitors straight to the pool timetable or membership prices, which are the pages people look for most.

A timetable you can actually read
The pool timetable used to be an image, which was hard to read on a phone and invisible to Google. It’s now a proper text-based timetable, laid out day by day and colour-coded by session type: public swim, lessons, swim club, babies, tots and active age, and special sessions.
When a new timetable comes in, it can be added to the page in minutes, with the current dates shown clearly at the top.
Gym hours at a glance
The gym page shows the full week as seven simple cards. Today’s card is highlighted automatically and shows whether the gym is open now, so visitors don’t have to work it out for themselves.
Below the hours, gym rules, family gym and personal training are all one click away.
Made for the phone in your pocket
Most people check the timetable on their phone, often on the way to the pool. On mobile, each day stacks into its own easy-to-scan card, the menu tucks neatly behind a single button, and the phone number is always one tap away.
Every page rebuilt
This wasn’t just a new coat of paint. We rebuilt every page in clean, hand-coded HTML and CSS and removed the old page builder and slider plugins the site depended on, so it’s lighter, faster and much easier to keep up to date.

No more heavy page builder or slider. Every page now loads as simple, clean code.
Old pages tidied up
Leftover pages from an old booking system and unused plugins have been cleared out.
Timetables as text
Pool and gym times are real text, so they’re readable on any screen and by search engines.
Accessible by design
Clear contrast, readable type and proper headings make the site easier for everyone to use.
Caching set up
Page caching is tuned so visitors get pages quickly, even on a busy day.
