Grow Digital Voucher: what Kerry businesses need to know
Up to €5,000 is available to help small businesses invest in digital tools. Here’s a plain-English guide to the Grow Digital Voucher, whether it’s still open, and how Kerry businesses can use it.
What is the Grow Digital Voucher?
The Grow Digital Voucher is a grant from the Local Enterprise Offices that helps small businesses invest in digital technology. It covers 50% of eligible costs, from a minimum grant of €500 up to a maximum of €5,000, towards new software subscriptions and the training and IT set-up that goes with them.
For Kerry businesses, the voucher is available through LEO Kerry. We’ve put together a full overview on our Grow Digital Voucher page, but here are the essentials.
Is the Grow Digital Voucher still open?
Yes. As of 6 October 2026, LEO Kerry lists Grow Digital among its current financial supports, and no national closing date has been published. The scheme first launched in 2024.
That said, some Local Enterprise Offices run their own application windows, and scheme details can change. The safest approach is to contact LEO Kerry on 066 718 3522 or leo@kerrycoco.ie to confirm the current position before you start planning.
Who can apply?
The voucher is designed for small and micro businesses. You’ll need to:
- Have between 1 and 50 paid employees
- Have been trading for at least six months
- Be based and operating in the LEO’s area
- Be solvent, with current tax clearance from Revenue
- Not be an Enterprise Ireland or IDA Ireland client
- Have completed a Digital for Business project in the last two years
That last point catches a lot of people out. Digital for Business is a separate LEO support where a specialist reviews your digital systems and recommends next steps. Your Grow Digital application should follow on from that report.
What can you spend it on?
The voucher covers off-the-shelf software that’s new to your business, for up to a year, such as:
- eCommerce and subscription website platforms
- Online booking and appointment systems
- CRM and customer management tools
- Accounting and payroll software
- Cybersecurity and analytics tools
Training and IT configuration can also be included, up to half of the total project cost.
What isn’t covered?
Bespoke or custom-built software isn’t eligible, which means a fully custom website isn’t covered. Regulatory compliance systems, software you already use, and anything you buy before applying are also excluded.
The golden rule: apply before you spend
Your application must be submitted before you incur any project costs or start the project. If you buy software or start work first, those costs can’t be covered. Get approval, then buy, set up and claim.
How Kerry businesses are using digital tools
Every application should follow your own Digital for Business report, but here are some of the kinds of projects the voucher supports:
- Retailers in towns like Tralee and Listowel selling online with an eCommerce platform
- Accommodation and activity providers in Killarney and Ballybunion adding online booking and payments
- Trades in Castleisland and Abbeyfeale managing enquiries and quotes with CRM software
